Stories from our Chicago Local Guides 2

I grew up in Chicago. To me, it is more than just a city; it’s home. So when we get guests who want to come and experience the city from the ground level up, I feel a personal responsibility to give them the best experience that I can! As I’m driving the Gray Line trolley through the cavernous jungle of the Loop, I know that I only have one chance to help Chicago make the same great impression on our guests as it has for the last 200 years. Whether we are driving through the Magnificent Mile, with all its name brand splendor on display, or the Cultural Mile, with all of the priceless artifacts we have collected over the millennia; there is something to impress everyone!

Chicago offers hundreds of unique cultural and historically relevant experiences for guests on our Gray Line Tour. From historic Wrigley Field up north to The Museum of Science and Industry down south, the only remaining building from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition. Chicago is where scientists first split the atom in a nuclear reaction, and where Frank Lloyd Wright built his home and studio. From the gangland past of Al Capone and Eliot Ness’s Untouchables to Daniel Burnham creating the Paris on the Prairie design of a city literally rising from the ashes.

From the comfort of a Gray Line custom-built trolley car tour, you will see the one-of-a-kind attractions only Chicago can offer! The Adler Planetarium, the world’s first public planetarium. The Shedd Aquarium, widely considered one of the best aquariums in the world! The Field Museum of Natural History with their giant T-Rex Skeleton, Sue, and views of the skyline unmatched anywhere in the world! All the way up to the Lincoln Park Zoo, one of the oldest zoos in North America! And it’s free!

Whether you’ve been recommended a Gray Line Tour from a friend, or you read about us on your favorite trusted review website, or you stumbled upon us randomly, we’re happy that you found us! And we are looking forward to showing you why the Second City is #1 in our hearts!
